Kannari School Arc is the twenty-fourth arc of the Gamaran series. This arc is where Kizaki Gensai faces against his former student and successor Kudou Shimon.
Plot[]
Kamedenbou and Kizaki Surrounded[]
Elsewhere, Kizaki and Kamedenbou are surrounded by the enemy. Kamedenbou then thinks about how their doesn't seem to be any noteworthy among them. Tatehara Ginji then notices that Kamedenbou and Kizaki are the ones known as the sword fiends and intriduces himself. Ginji then says that he is the one in charge of this area and that he would like them to commit his name to memory. Ginji then says that he can't allow them to pass, which Kamedenbou then thinks that this one is going to give them trouble.Kizaki then says that he can't expect him to remember the name of every scrub he cuts down. Kizaki then steps forward, which Ginji then says that he must he Kizaki. Kamedenbou then asks if Kizaki will be alright because of the injury to his right foot, which Kizaki asks if Kamedenbou has gone senile and forgotten who he is.
Kizaki Gensai Vs. Tatehara Ginji[]
Kizaki then tells kamedenbou to take care of the other scrubs, while he deals with Ginji. Ginji then says that he never imaged that he would fight Kizaki, and that he always wanted to try his hand against Kizaki's quickdraws. Ginji then draws his sword, which Kizaki says that its a pretty long sword. Ginji then thinks about Kasumi Shirosada, and then thinks about how Kizaki is a master of the quickdraws and how a slash from a drawn sword is faster. Kizaki then asks how long Ginji is going to stand their, because he is going to kill kill him. Ginji then says alright and attacks, which Kizaki also draws his sword. Ginji is then shocked that his sword was broken, and wonders how could that have happened. Kizaki then says that he cut two times, which Ginji then notices that he is wounded. Ginji then thinks about how the slash was so fast and then dies.
About Kizaki[]
Kamedenbou then thinks about how Kizaki is just as cantankero as ever, and that Kizaki was able to refine the quickdraw techniques into a battle style. Kizaki then complains that Kamedenbou is not done yet, which Kamedenbou says that he has more to deal with. Kamedenbou then thinks about how they are able to get to the main keep, but wonders about the feeling that he has and that some tremendous menace is bearing down on them. Shimon then shows up and comments about how strong he has gotten. Kizaki then recognizes Shimon, which Kamedenbou asks who he is. Kizaki then says that the guy his Shimon and that he is his student.
Shimon Arrives[]
Kizaki then says that Shimon is formerly his student and that Shimon was the one that was suppose to take over for him. Shimon then says that is almost happened, which Kizaki says that its not a good memory for either of them. Kizaki then says that Shimon had left his tutelage and jump into Jinsuke's camp, which Shimon says that it was bound to happen. Shimon then says that Kizaki did something awful to him, which Kizaki says that it wasn't that bad.
Kizaki and Shimon Talk[]
Kizaki then asks Shimon if he came here to fight him, which Shimon says that Kizaki gets right to the point. Shimon then asks why Kizaki is here because he doesn't have belong to the Muhou School or Ogame School, and should leave. Shimon then says that Kizaki would detest cutting down his student, and that Kizaki can't defeat Jinsuke. Shimon then tells Kizaki to leave, which Kizaki then laughs and says that this is what this is about. Shimon then says that that he could not bear to cut down his own teacher, which Kizaki says not a chance and attacks. Shimon then blocks the attacks and thinks about how Kizaki is just as strong as ever. Kizaki then says that he can't stand that their is someone in the world that thinks they're stronger then him. Kizaki then says that he won't retreat until he kills them all, which Shimon says that he is still the same. Kizaki then says that being the greatest means that strongest, and if he has a problem with it then save it for after he beats him. Kizaki then takes a stance and tells Shimon to come. Shimon then says that he hates that side and that he will show kizaki his sword while taking a stance.
Kizaki Gensai Vs. Kudou Shimon[]
Shimon then says that he is going to make Kizaki regret about what happened that day, which then they both draw their swords. Kamedenbou then wonders what happened, which they notice that their speeds was even. Kizaki then compliments Shimon on his growth, even through Shimon is scared to kill people. Kizaki then corrects himself and says that Shimon is someone who ran away from him. Shimon then backs off, which Kizaki says that he didn't know that Shimon can make that face. Shimon then says that he didn't run away from Kizaki and sheaths his sword. Shimon then says that he gave on Kizaki, which Kizaki sheath his sword and says that Shimon plans to win with quick-draws no matter what. Kamedenbou then thinks about your not suppose to sheath your sword in the middle of battle, but not for the Kannari School and that the two are serious.
Shimon Gets Serious[]
Shimon then says that he is going to use the techniques that Kizaki taught him to kill him, which Kizaki says that Shimon really hates him. Shimon then says that he will make Kizaki regard what happened that day, and then says what happened that day. Kizaki then says that he caouldn't let a person afraid to kill someone be the person that inherits his legacy, which Shimon says that he didn't want to kill without a reason. Shimon then says that Kizaki shoul be aware that his talent exceeds Kizaki's. Shimon then draws and tosses his sword, which blocks Kizaki's vision. Shimon then grabs the hilt and attacks with Nagisengetsu, which causes Kizaki to lose an eye.
Kizaki's Fights Back[]
Shimon then backs off, which Kamedenbou thinks about how Shimon's abilities is able to exceed Kizaki's and that Kizaki's maybe defeated. Shimon then thinks about how everything is going as he planned, and attacks planning to fight the battle. Kizaki then blocks the attack with his arm, which Shimon is shocked and thinking about that Kizaki blocked his attack with his arm. Kizaki then says that Shimon is shocked that he blocked his attack with his arm, and that he was able to block it with his intuition. Kizaki then explains what intuition is and that he enjoys fight battles with strong opoonents. Shimon then backs off, and thinks about how Kizaki is enjoying this battle even though he lost an eye. Shimon then says that they are incapable of understanding each other, which Kizaki says that is why they are trading blows and asks if Shimon is done with quick-draws. Shimon then says that by taking your eye he has proved that he is better, which Kizaki says that he is going to win in the end.
The Kannari School Secret Technique[]
Kizaki then says that he never taught Shimon anything other then techniques an takes a stance. Kizaki then says that he will put an end to this, which Shimon wonders what Shimon is taking a left facing stance. Shimon then decides that he will use the technique that he created to finish this, and takes a stance for Sagiuchi. Shimon then thinks about how his technique works, which Kamedenbou then thinks about how the two plan to finish the battle with the next attack. Kizaki and Shimon then thinks about how they are going to be victorious, which Shimon then charges. Shimon then thinks that Kizaki has started to late, which then they both attack. Shimon then wonders when Kizaki was able to draws his sword. Shimon then notices that he is wounded, and wonders what kind of quick-draw that was. Kizaki then tells Shimon that the technique was Manjinuki and that it was the technique that he was suppose to teach Shimon. Shimon then says that he can't let his guard done and he is has now mastered that final technique of the Kannari School. Kizaki is then shocked, which Shimon says that the next attack will be the end of this.
Battle of the Manjinuki Technique[]
Kizaki then gets angry and says that Shimon had mastered his ultimate, which Shimon say yes but couldn't see when Kizaki drew his sword. Kizaki then asks if Shimon is mocking him, which Shimon says that he is not and that he was able to pick it up by analyzing that stance. Shimon then says that its sheath draw technique and explains what the technique is. Shimon then says that he can't fully understand the technique, and the Kizaki will confirm the rest with his body. Shimon then says that he will invalidate Kizaki's swordsmanship and life, which this technique. Kizaki then takes a stance and saying that he will show Shimon who has the better Manjinuki. They then both thinks about how they will be the one to win, which they then attack. Shimon then thinks about how the technique works and that all the lefts is to execute it faster. They then attack, which Shimon says that his blade was faster and slashes Kizaki.
Kizaki Defeated[]
Kizaki is then wounded and drops to his knees. Kamedenbou then thinks about how Shimon was able to pull of the attack better then its creator. Shimon then says that this match belongs to him, which Shimon is shocked when Kizaki gets up. Kizaki then asks what makes Shimon think that he has won, and that tells him who he is and that he has never lose. Shimon then thinks that Kizaki is fixated on winning, which Kizaki then drops his sword and falls.
