Nasu Souun was a member of the Muhou School and commander of the 8th Corps.
Appearence[]
Souun is a large, imposing man with a serious look on his face and wavy shoulder length black hair. He wears a black shirt with long sleeves, a sleeveless haori with large shoulderpads and white hakama pants.
Personality[]
Souun is very calm and has a lot of discipline. He obeys orders without questioning them and lose his temper only in extreme situations. He seems to be a sort of paternal figure for Gakushin Niina.
Background[]
At some point in the past he joined the Muhou School and became commander of the 8th Corps.
Plot[]
Muhou Invasion Arc[]
Nasu Souun first appeared in Unabara Castle with Jinsuke and Niina, having captured all the surviving daimyo's sons. Under the orders of Jinsuke he executes them.
Juuren Village Arc[]
He's later seen again with Niina at the abandoned Ogame School dojou, scolding him for his recklessness and talking about Ranmaru's promotion to member of the Personal Corps.
Iori Invasion Arc[]
During Iori's assault on Unabara Castle, He's seen planning a strategy to stop Iori in a narrow passage along with Shinjirou, Chuuji and Shibano Ippi. At first is calm, but becomes impressed upon seeing a still alive Iori and feeling his battle aura. He tries to attack him with Chuuji, but his slash is deflected by Iori who then kills him before he can regain his stance.
Abilities[]
Souun is a practictioner of kenjutsu and carries a standard combination of katana and wakizashi, called "Daisho" with him. He was skilled enough to be appointed commander of the 8th division, and yet was no match for Iori.
